You are faced with a decision. Whether it is personal or professional, it can leave you feeling stressed, anxious, worried or stuck. Perhaps you are apprehensive about the outcome of your decision or whether you should make it or not, or you just don't know what to do.
Think of decisions as change, movement, alignment and opportunities to grow and learn. Often when making decisions we come up against resistance and fear. These are opportunities to stretch ourselves and let go of old patterns or beliefs.
Wouldn't it be great if there was a sign that read "Effortless Decision Making This Way"? Guess what that is. You and your thinking are it! When you question your thinking on what is holding you back then you are well on your way to making a smooth decision.
Here are 7 key strategies to effortless decision making:
1. Are there any other choices other than the decision you are making?
2. Write down the pros and cons of the choice and/or decision.
3. Is the choice or decision in alignment with where you want to be?
4. Is the choice or decision at hand going to improve the quality and relationships in your life?
5. Is the choice or decision going to benefit you in all areas of your life?
6. Jot down what is stopping you from making this decision.
7. Be willing to release what is blocking you or limiting you.
Once you have done the exercise be willing to let it go and trust the answer will come to you easily and effortlessly.
Sometimes you will find that the decision doesn't have to be made right away and if it does, then by doing the above you find the answer appears much quicker by releasing what it holding you back rather than staying stuck.
